Sawah Besar Expands Access to Vaccine Services for Elderly

This is in order to accommodate the elderly people who want to receive vaccine

The Sawah Besar Sub-district, Central Jakarta has expanded the COVID-19 vaccination service for the elderly in five urban villages. Initially the service was only held at the sub-district puskesmas and GOR.

Sawah Besar Sub-district Head, Prasetio disclosed, similar service would also be held at the Husada Hospital, Santa Ursula School and Sawah Besar RSUD.

"This is in order to accommodate the elderly people who want to receive vaccine," he expressed, Wednesday (3/24).

By so, it would facilitate them to come for the vaccination in their respective urban villages.

"We also have the shuttle service that is ready to serve them anytime. Thus far the number of the elderly in Sawah Besar is reaching 9,133 people," he uttered.

Karang Anyar Urban Village Head, Heru Supriono explained, based on the data, there were about 2,500 elderly people. From that number, 50 percent or 1,200 people had undergone the vaccination.

"We're targeting to hit 100 people every day during the vaccination service held at the Karang Anyar urban village office," he said.
